Krupa Consulting is seeking a hands-on publicist with extensive media contacts to join our team. A successful candidate will be a creative and strategic thinker who can bring fresh ideas with a strong sense of work ethic to execute. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have PR experience with working with food, wellness and lifestyle brands. They must be able to wear multiple hats while immersing themselves in the brands and start pitching immediately; therefore, a self-starter with innovative ideas, who is ready to hit the ground running, is our perfect fit!

  • A minimum of 7 years PR experience in the lifestyle, consumer, food, wellness and business sectors
  • Strategic, proactive, hard-working, and positive attitude
  • Demonstrates confidence, industry knowledge and expertise, and is viewed as senior strategist by the client
  • Communicates “big picture” logistics and tactics to teams, providing a foundational support for initiatives and client asks
  • Successful in managing and maintaining client accounts including coordinating launch campaigns, small-scale events and strategic partnerships
  • Takes a patient and attentive approach when speaking to staff, media and clients
  • Creative with the ability to pitch trends as well as think outside the box to create non-traditional press pitches and activations
  • Experience leading multiple clients and teams at one time
  • Communicates in a manner that invites questions and dialogue, creating learning and growth opportunities for junior team members daily
  • Actively pursues top-tier media to secure large and meaningful press results that truly move the needle for clients
  • Continues to bring bigger level thinking to all clients at the agency to ensure Krupa stays relevant and impactful as it relates to our approach and quality/quantity of results
  • Strong ability to take charge and desire to grow with the company
  • Be organized and ready to roll up their sleeve with an excellent attitude

Foundational Duties

  • Lead and maintain client relations
  • Lead the strategy and execution for teams on multiple accounts 
  • Can handle crisis communications with little to no input from leadership team 
  • Proactive planning for the creation of strategic documents, press lists and PR plans
  • Defines and adjusts strategies appropriately, pivoting as client needs shift and evolve
  • Oversees account budgets and delegates tasks appropriately, having a key understanding of where team member’s time is going
  • Pitch media and maintain media relations: follow through and follow up
  • Brainstorm creative brand synergies for clients
  • Oversees organization of media events, press conferences, conventions, media tours, desksides, etc.
  • Other collaboratively determined duties as talents and niches in the firm evolve
